Integrated Learning Object Repository

ANGEL’s Learning Object Repository (LOR) is fully integrated, standards-based and included in ANGEL. Developed to respond to your needs for sophisticated content management, an ANGEL LOR enables storage, tagging, searching, sharing, linking, reuse and management of learning objects in a highly scalable, efficient manner.

Scoring Submissions

With course content that is linked from a LOR, ANGEL provides the option to associate student submission data with the course, the LOR, or both. This provides curriculum designers flexibility in terms of how they distribute and report against student assessment. Instructors can create and score a gradebook assignment, while the institition can administer centralized assessments and aggregate data to a centralized source.

Flexible Course Creation

The ANGEL LMS provides instructional designers flexibility in how to create a course structure. You can develop the course structure outside of the LOR and then link content into that course form the LOR. In addition, ANGEL allows you to develop and modify the course structure from within the LOR, specifying the location and then pushing the content to the course from the LOR itself. This saves the time and effort required from having to jump back and forth between course creation tools and the LOR.

Efficiently Manage Large Enrollment Courses

ANGEL Master Courses ensure consistent pedagogy, instructional integrity and course look and feel across all sections of large enrollment courses.

• Individual course sections refer to the content in the ANGEL Master Course.
• A designated lead instructor has permission to edit Master Course content.

Lesson Plan Templates

The ANGEL LMS comes with the ability for instructors and instructional designers to create a template-based lesson plan and then search and align all required instructor or student content resources in support of the plan. The result is a self-contained, easily distributed and shared content item that contains both the lesson plan and the supporting content. The lesson plan can also be aligned to standards, further supporting the learning outcomes approach. ANGEL ships with pre-defined lesson plan templates as well as a blank template that allows an institution to create and distribute customized lesson plans.
