Lesson Content Development
Advanced New Content Templates
A breakthrough in LMS technology, content templates provided in ANGEL make it easy to create pedagogically sound course content and learning objects. Templates can be used as a starting point for content development, or an institution, group, or individual can develop preferred templates. Templates that use ANGEL's triggers and actions to release materials and send alerts allow every ANGEL user to take advantage of these advanced capabilities. Modifying templates rather than recreating course content and learning objects is a huge time saver.
Lesson Plan Templates
The ANGEL LMS comes with the ability for instructors and instructional designers to create a template-based lesson plan and then search and align all required instructor or student content resources in support of the plan. The result is a self-contained, easily distributed and shared content item that contains both the lesson plan and the supporting content. The lesson plan can also be aligned to standards, further supporting the learning outcomes approach. ANGEL ships with pre-defined lesson plan templates as well as a blank template that allows an institution to create and distribute customized lesson plans.
Manage Your Content
![]() |
ANGEL lets you choose how you organize your course content. Every folder can include all content types: web pages, files, links, assessments, surveys, drop boxes and multiple message boards. Put all the elements of one lesson in a folder and have a folder for each lesson or organize any other way that suits your needs. Moving, re-sequencing, or adding content is as easy as clicking a button.
Simple Drag-n-Drop Content Upload
It’s easy to import a Word, PowerPoint, multimedia or other file types from your computer into ANGEL. ANGEL’s drag-n-drop capability offers an easy alternative to browsing for file upload. One-step content import preserves previously developed content and IMS compliant content developed in LMS systems, including questions banks, assessments, discussion boards, and resource links. Plus, ANGEL's upload utility recognizes web pages zipped as archive files and offers to extract them, so the entire setup is incorporated into your course context.

HTML Editor
With ANGEL’s HTML editor, developing new content and publishing it directly to the web is as easy as creating a Word document. ANGEL's HTML editor works on a Mac or PC. It supports math, foreign language, and institution-specific characters without third-party plug-ins,; comes complete with a spell checker; and gives you all the formatting options you need. It also supports table editing, allows you to save content as a “macro,” reuse it with a click, and even dynamically insert content to provide structure and save you and your students time. The Word HTML cleaning utility removes extra tags from pasted Word content.
Dynamic Content Access
ANGEL provides extraordinary control over the display and availability of content. Individual lesson items can be restricted by date, user rights, password, and team assignment. Items can also be hidden until a specified day or event. The event, passing a test for example, can even be unique to an individual. This dynamic availability supports self-paced study, conditional release of material, and problem-based learning.
