College of Saint Mary Chooses ANGEL Learning Management Suite to Provide “the Best Possible” Teaching and Learning Experience

Indianapolis, Ind. – December 9, 2008 – ANGEL Learning, a leading provider of enterprise eLearning software and services, today announced that College of Saint Mary (CSM) in Omaha, Nebraska has adopted the ANGEL Learning Management Suite (LMS) to support its online, hybrid, and traditional courses. Prior to adopting the ANGEL LMS, the college supported several solutions. Standardizing on the ANGEL LMS enables CSM to better train and support its user community, provide greater opportunities for collaboration, and lowers the college’s total cost of ownership across IT systems.
“We’re always looking for ways to better serve our students and faculty and provide the best possible experience,” said Jason Degn, associate vice president for Instructional Technology, College of Saint Mary. When CSM faculty and administrators decided that standardizing on a single system built specifically to support online, hybrid, and web-enhanced instruction was in the best interest of students, faculty, and administration, CSM adopted the ANGEL LMS. “We chose ANGEL mainly because of its ease of use and intuitive interface,” Degn reported. Additional factors Degn identified as “making our decision easier” are the openness of the ANGEL system and the value ANGEL provides.
“The open nature of the ANGEL software was also very appealing,” Degn commented. “We can easily move data from our SIS into ANGEL, cutting down on administration. ANGEL’s openness also allows for integrations with other software solutions to further enrich the learning experience.” ANGEL’s fit with CSM’s existing IT environment and the value ANGEL provides were additional considerations in the CSM decision to adopt the ANGEL LMS. “ANGEL fit into our existing IT environment quite well, leveraging technologies we already use. We also felt ANGEL offered the most bang for the buck,” Degn continued.
