New ANGEL Learning Services Optimize LMS Performance / Reliability

Indianapolis, Ind. – October 28, 2008 – ANGEL® Learning, a leading provider of enterprise eLearning software and services, today announced at EDUCAUSE 2008 new service offerings to assist self-hosted ANGEL clients as they implement the ANGEL Learning Management Suite (LMS). Clients report that ANGEL’s ease of use and powerful instructional and reporting features correlate to significant increases in institutional LMS usage for online and web-enhanced instruction. The newly introduced ANGEL services will ensure optimal performance of the ANGEL LMS as its usage deepens across the educational enterprise.

Infrastructure Implementation Services – System Configuration and System Design & Configuration
Two levels of system configuration services address the needs of self-hosted institutions of varying sizes. The System Configuration Service assists smaller implementations with standard ANGEL setup and configuration best practices. Developed for mid-size and larger implementations, the System Design & Configuration Service provides expert ANGEL guidance on system design, configuration, and maintenance. The service also provides tune-up recommendations.
System Review Service
Growing LMS usage impacts an institution’s underlying systems. This comprehensive evaluation of a self-hosted system’s ability to meet performance and reliability requirements provides system recommendations and a documented “system roadmap” to help an institution manage the impact of increased system usage proactively.
System Upgrade Service
Increased reliance on the LMS across the educational enterprise generally leads to expanded use of the wide range of features available in the ANGEL LMS. The System Upgrade Service will help a self-hosted institution take advantage of innovations available in a new release and minimize the impact on users. The System Upgrade Service includes a current system and application review, pre-upgrade validation, and post-upgrade validation and assessment.
Managed Test Environment Service
This service, provided by the ANGEL Application Hosting Services team, provides both ANGEL hosted and self-hosted clients a hosted instance of the ANGEL LMS for custom configuration mock-ups, upgrades, and pre-rollout training.
