ANGEL Learning Releases Updated Secure Browser

Indianapolis, Ind. – October 28, 2008 – ANGEL® Learning, a leading provider of enterprise eLearning software and services, today announced at EDUCAUSE 2008 the release of a new version of the ANGEL Learning Management Suite (LMS) Secure Browser. Included in the ANGEL LMS, ANGEL Secure Browser 2.0 ensures the security of a proctored testing environment by locking down student access to the internet and their ability to launch other applications or communicate with peers using ANGEL LMS messaging tools while taking an assessment. The ANGEL Secure Browser 2.0 provides institutions flexible options for setting up and launching the browser to meet institution-specific needs Enhancements to the ANGEL Secure Browser 2.0 were developed in collaboration with the ANGEL user community.

Developed for use in a proctored setting, the ANGEL Secure Browser 2.0 can easily be provided to a remote proctor allowing distance students to travel to a local setting for secure testing. When used in combination with advanced ANGEL assessment features, the ANGEL Secure Browser 2.0 delivers assessments in a highly secure environment.
Additional advanced assessment features that amplify assessment security in ANGEL include: assessment time limit with or without automatic submission, question-at-a-time delivery, randomized question delivery, randomized answer delivery, random question delivery from a question bank using a question pool, disallow backtrack, and randomized algorithmic questions.
