Rose-Hulman has been using an electronic portfolio assessment system to manage student learning outcomes achievement for over a decade. In 2007 they began developing the same functionality inside the ANGEL LMS with the RosEvaluation Tool. The system relies heavily on the mapped dropbox feature of the ANGEL LMS to collect evidence of student achievement against learning outcomes/standards, and custom functionality that allows evaluators to read and rate student work against Inter-Rater Reliability and Evaluation Rubrics. The end result is an assessment tool that helps the school meet both program and institutional accreditation demands.
