ANGEL IMPACT Awards

The Call for IMPACT Award Nominations is Now Closed.

ANGEL Learning recognizes that the dedication and vision of the ANGEL user community is one of our greatest strengths. With the ANGEL IMPACT Awards, we honor those who push the boundaries of their ANGEL environment to deliver innovative and effective learning experiences.

In 2008, the ANGEL IMPACT Awards recognized two exemplary ANGEL courses, two exemplary ANGEL programs, two exemplary ANGEL training program awards and three individuals for their contributions to the ANGEL community. We would like to invite all ANGEL community members to share their work with others in community by submitting nominations for the 2009 ANGEL IMPACT Awards.

Award Categories

Course Awards
Designed to recognize those who use ANGEL effectively to create, organize and leverage the technology within their course. Examples that demonstrate this use include:

Master Courses with effective content reuse and use of the LOR
Aligning Standards and Objectives
Encouragement for learner-to-learner collaboration

Program Awards
Designed to recognize those who use ANGEL to support an educational program. Examples that demonstrate this use include:

Effective and creative ways to support faculty and students
Uses that help insure and achieve the program’s goals and objectives
Sharing and creating course content for entire program use
Tools used to internally support the program (e.g.; mentors & power users)

Enterprise Awards
Designed to recognize those who have created a deep and broad use of ANGEL throughout their institution. Examples that demonstrate this use include:

Coordinate and effective approaches to use ANGEL
Innovative use of ANGEL across the institution
Tying together technology and education to meet business requirements and institutional reporting needs
Creative uses that have pushed the boundaries in the ANGEL environment

Staff Development Awards
Designed to recognize those who effectively use ANGEL to enhance faculty and staff skills that provide a better learning experience for students and themselves. Examples that demonstrate this use include:

Migration from traditional training methods to online
Providing professional development
Innovative training methods for faculty and staff
Wide collection of offerings

Who Can Participate?

The ANGEL IMPACT Awards are open to both individuals and teams who are licensed users of the ANGEL Learning Management Suite.

Nomination Guidelines

All nominations will need to include a PowerPoint presentation that demonstrates why the nomination is exemplary. These will be later shared with conference attendees along with conference presentations on the angelusers.org site. (Please note: By submitting your nomination you are providing ANGEL Learning with permission to share this information with other community members)
Submissions must be based on one of the following versions: ANGEL LMS 7.2, 7.3 or 7.4; ANGEL ePortfolio 2.0 or 2.1.
Nominations for the 2009 ANGEL IMPACT Awards must be submitted by April 3rd, 2009
Re-entries on previous nominations will not be accepted.

Award Announcement and Recognition

Winners of the 2009 ANGEL IMPACT Awards will be announced at ANGEL User Conference, May 13th – 15th, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois.

In addition to the announcement and ceremony at the 2009 AUC, winners will be announced in a press release and on the ANGEL Learning website. All nominations will be posted on the community website (www.angelusers.org) after the AUC to share with community members.
